When do you wash your wig?
Artificial wigs can usually be worn for a long time. They also don't leave greasy hair near your face.So how do you know when to clean it?
When it starts moving like a wig, not like hair, it's time to clean it.Each part of the hair moves independently and is less lumpy when washed.Over time, using hairspray can prevent wigs from moving as freely as if they had been washed. It is important to wear a fake wig every 5-10 times.
For human wigs, it's time to start noticing greasy hair near your face (or 5-10 times, depending on the weather).Wigs need to be treated like hair, including washing, blow-drying and styling -- the buildup of styling products means you may need to wash your hair more often (especially in warmer weather).
If you don't like shampooing, your wig salon or stylist will do it for you -- even if you wash your hair at home, regular shampooing and styling is a great way to get your hair back to its best condition.Best of all, you don't have to keep your hair all the time. One of the funniest texts you can get is the one from your stylist: "your hair is ready!"

It's great to show them regularly (or take a reading/laundry class) so you can make sure they'll last longer and look great when they're done.Your wig is an investment and it's important to look after it over the long term, especially if you wear it every day.[more]
